EXPERIENCE SCUBA: Experience Scuba is a basic introduction to diving for any one who would like or has ever thought about having a go at diving. The course is one hour long with full instruction before entering the water. All tuition and equipment provided - all you need to bring is a towel, swimming costume and t-shirt. Minimum age 10 - no maximum age.

SCUBA REFRESHER: A course designed with safety in mind for anyone who has an open water qualification or greater, has not dived for several months and would like the chance to return to the sport. The course consists of a days refresher training and a assessment dive with one of our fully qualified instructors.

OPEN WATER COURSE: The open water is the first formal PADI qualification that allows you to dive with out an Instructor. This qualification is world recognized allowing you to dive at any location around the world without the aid of an instructor. The course consists of an initial academic period consisting of 5 videos, 5 chapters of a study book, 5 knowledge reviews and 5 pool sessions to establish basic techniques. It is then on to four short quizzes and a simple multi choice final exam. At this point an assessment is made by the instructor and subject to his approval you carry on to do four open water dives. The minimum age is ten. Duration: 5 days or 2 weekends All equipment is supplied. Many other options are available, the course can be completed in 2-3 days – extra fees may apply.

ADVANCED OPEN WATER COURSE: The advanced open water course is the follow on from the open water course and is designed to increase confidence, experience and knowledge of diving. The course consists of an initial academic period followed by a navigation dive, a deep dive and three other dives to be chosen by you and your instructor. The course is very flexible and can be completed over 1 weekend or 2 days or 5 evenings or a mix, the choice is yours. You must already hold an open water dive certificate to undertake this course. The minimum age is twelve. All equipment supplied.

DIVER FIRST AID COURSE: This is a course designed for people who wish to continue scuba diving in a more professional aspect. It is also a necessity if you are thinking of continuing on to complete the Dive Master Course. The course is 1 or 2 days long and consists of tutorial videos, hands on training and resuscitation dummy. On completion of the course you will be certified to Medic First Aid.

RESCUE DIVER: Rescue Diver Course is an intensive but highly rewarding course designed to test your physical and mental endurance. On completion of the course you should be competent to save a life in whatever conditions the seas can throw at you. For acceptance onto this course you must have qualified as advanced open water diver and also completed the first aid course. The minimum age is fifteen.

DIVE MASTER: The first professional diving level - Divemaster is aimed at anyone who is looking to make diving a serious part of their spare time or career. Though hard work this is perhaps one of the most rewarding and enjoyable courses in the PADI system. The course takes a minimum of six days or ten weekends, whichever is preferable. Another option is internship which is a maximum of six months but gains you the experience to truly call yourself Dive Master. Minimum age eighteen.

ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR: The natural progression from Divemaster. On completion of this course you will have all of the essential information and experience required to become an instructor. It is our aim at TAL Scuba to produce the most professional, best qualified and most practical diving instructors in the country. The course is carried out over a six months period by internship, allowing you to gain experience whilst training.
